I’m Cole Paullin, an engineer seeking to acquire and operate a single established business.
The journey that led me here began with my grandfather, pictured on our homepage with his first employees in front of Pacific Sintered Metals—the company he founded over 60 years ago. My father and brother continue to run the business to this day. My journey in small business began there, working various roles and gaining firsthand insight into the dedication required to run a successful enterprise. This gave me a deep appreciation for the commitment small business owners have to their employees and legacies.
I began my career as an engineer at Rivian Automotive, where I developed electrical hardware for their cutting-edge electric vehicles. Eager to gain more business knowledge and a greater sense of ownership, I left to pursue an MBA at Wharton. During my time at Wharton, I worked closely with the executive team at Nutrishare, where I played a key role in negotiating vendor contracts, streamlining operations, and modeling critical financial decisions. Before I began at Rivian, I earned a degree in mechanical engineering from Stanford University, where I was also a proud member of their Division 1 volleyball team.
Now, I aim to apply my engineering background, business education, and entrepreneurial exposure towards acquiring and building on an established business’s foundation. My family’s successful ventures provide valuable guidance and ensure I have the resources to support a smooth ownership transition and fuel future growth.
